The course comprised two parts. During the first week, morning lectures built knowledge of cross-disciplinary topics in the mechanobiology of animal and plant cells. Afternoon sessions consisted of labs designed to build modeling, analysis, imaging, and bioinformatics skills. During the second week, interdisciplinary teams conducted a research project that culminated in a group presentation. Additional professional development sessions were given in week two to enrich participants’ graduate school experience and help prepare them for future career pathways.

Funded by the The Center for Engineering MechanoBiology (CEMB).
